Integrating logical systems: Adding value by saving energy
During the mid-90s, Daurala Sugar Works was crushing a maximum of 5,500 tonne of cane per day with older automation systems and obsolete single- and multi-loop controllers. While demand for its products was on a rise, its productive capacity was stunted due to frequent failures of its older equipment. These failures were particularly disturbing because condensing a production schedule of plants was just into five or six months. Daurala’s management began exploring available solution providers that combined industry experience with a strong commitment to customer support. It selected Rockwell Automation and its channel partner, Energy Ventures of India, to transform its mill’s performance. This article offers an overview of this transformation.
